We pack ourselves in cars early in the morning from Chandigarh and head on to a beautiful small village called Jibhi in Tirthan Valley, jamming in the car, getting acquainted with each other and having an epic road journey across states! This distance of 260 kilometers between Chandigarh and Jibhi will be covered in about 7 to 8 hours. Upon reaching the pristine village of Jibhi, we explore around a little, taking a jungle walk while it is still daylight and come back after the sun sets to warm ourselves around a bonfire followed by a dinner. The stay will be at a quaint cottage in the town.
After relishing on some breakfast, we drive over to Jalori Pass early in the morning. This is a high mountain pass with an elevation of 10,800 feet or 3120 meters above sea level. We will witness the stunning snow-clad vistas, hopefully catching a view of the upper Himalayas if the weather permits. After visiting the temple at Jalori Pass, we start our hike to the majestic Serolsar Lake. The distance from Jalori Pass to Serolsar Lake is just about 6 kilometres. It is a very easy hike, taking only 2-3 hours to complete. After basking in the beauty of the lake, we head back to our cottage for some mouthwatering dinner around the bonfire!
After breakfast, we start early morning to visit the Jibhi waterfall. This waterfall is known for its tricky walk with slippery stones, but it is absolutely worth the effort as the views you will be welcomed with, are unlike any other! With the fresh glacial water cascading through rocks, forming pools of crystal clear blue waters, this is perhaps one of the most beautiful waterfalls India has to offer! And the best part? Not a lot of people have found out about it yet, so your Instagram pictures are going to be amazing like never before! After spending time at the waterfall, we head back to Chandigarh in a car packed with memories and lots of warmth, with promises to come back to this magical land again very soon! Reach Chandigarh by 7 to 8 pm and go home with a heavy heart full of joy!
